This year my company has joined the growing group of professionals that analyze our homes for energy performance.

Both myself and my production director Shonn Bell have completed our training and certifications with the Building Performance Institute as Building Analyst.

The Building Performance Institute is a national non-profit organization dedicated to setting the professional standards and training in the field of building science. Their goal is to enable professionals to test and evaluate homes for energy performance.

I have known about this process for years, I decided to become certified  and invest in the tools as a result of my education in building science from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry and the USGBC.

My goal as a remodeler has always been to improve my clients home performance as well as it's looks and function. As a building Analyst I can now bring bring building science to my clients on a practical level.
